Our Morning at the Games

Yesterday morning my fellow bloggers Rebecca and Megan and I were fortunate enough to check out the first day of the Games’ Athletics competition taking place at York’s own CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletic Stadium. Canadian spirit was at an all-time high as York’s own Khamica Bingham and Canada’s Andre De Grasse, from Markham, both qualified for the semi-finals in the 100m sprint.

When we weren’t cheering for the athletes amid a roaring crowd, we managed to grab some photos documenting our time at the event. Check ’em out:

Goodbye for now. We’ll be back with more news soon!

Clearly, we had a great time cheering on our fellow athletes. Be sure to stay tuned, as this Friday we will return to the stadium to report live. Follow us @yorkustudents and comment below to share your own stories of the Games at York.
